Party Details

  • Spark Haven Studio art parties are designed for guests who want a relaxed, guided creative experience. If you’re looking for something that’s fun, easily adaptable to different skill levels, and feels like a meaningful pause from everyday life, we’re here for you!

  • Spark Haven Studio serves most of the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We will travel up to ~50 miles (one-way) to your location!

    Locations slightly outside this range (up to ~60 miles) will have a travel fee.

    If you are using a venue or third-party location, please confirm in advance that your venue allows outside vendors and the art activity you’d like to book. Venue policies may vary, so checking ahead helps ensure a smooth experience.

    • Standard parties: 30 min setup + 1.5-2.5 hr art experience (pace varies by group) + 30 min cleanup

    • Mommy & Me parties: 30 min setup + 1 hr art experience + 30 min cleanup

    This does not include time for birthday cake, presents, etc., so please plan accordingly for those before or afterwards.

  • Our minimum is 8 participants.

    If you have a smaller group, you’re welcome to inquire for a custom per-person rate.

    For groups larger than 25, please inquire as soon as you’re able to (we recommend at least a month in advance), as we may need additional time to prepare.

  • This depends on the party option due to materials and tools used as well as general difficulty or skills involved. Please refer to the Party Options page for details on each art party’s minimum age requirement.

  • Participants should wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. We also provide aprons for guests to wear if they choose.

  • Sure! We do strongly suggest having a backup indoor plan just in case though, as weather can be unpredictable.

  • We do not offer pre-drawn canvases or take-home art kits at the moment. We specialize in bringing art experiences to groups and providing in-person guided instruction.

Host Preparation

  • All art parties include:

    • Personalized digital invitation to share with guests

    • 30 minute setup + 30 minute cleanup

    • Standard parties: 1.5-2.5 hour art experience (pace varies by group)
      Mommy & Me parties: 1 hour art experience

    • All art materials

    • Aprons and table coverings to borrow

    • Guided group instruction and individual support as needed

  • As the host, you’ll need to provide:

    • The venue, home, office, or space for the event

    • Tables and chairs

    • Groups with participants under 18 years old must have at least one supervising adult present for the entire art party.

    • Food and drinks (optional)

  • If you choose to provide food and drinks, then of course! While we won’t specifically pause the art party for guests to get refreshments, they can do so at their leisure.

    Please save any extended breaks (e.g. lunch, birthday cake) for before or after the art party.

  • Yes. Spark Haven Studio carries general liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance upon request. If your venue has specific insurance requirements, please let us know as soon as possible.

Booking

  • To get started, fill out an inquiry form.

    We’ll follow up with you to confirm details, answer any questions you may have, and send you a custom invoice if you’re ready to move forward.

    All bookings must be completed at least 2 weeks before your event date. Your initial payment is due by the date shown on your invoice. You can choose to either pay in full or pay a 50% deposit, with the remaining 50% balance automatically charged to the same initial payment method 10 days before your event date.

  • We’d love to check for you! Just fill out an inquiry form.

    All bookings must be completed at least 2 weeks before your event date, so the earlier you reach out, the better.

  • We may offer up to a 3-day courtesy hold on a requested date while final details and invoicing are being completed. Dates are not officially secured until the initial required payment has been made.

  • If you’re unsure of your final guest count when booking, book for the minimum number you can guarantee in order to reserve your event date.

    Additional participant spots may be added and paid for later (up to 10 days before the party) by emailing us. Due to advance preparation, participant spots cannot be reduced for a refund or credits. If you've already paid for a guest's spot but they’re unable to come, you're welcome to invite another guest who completes a waiver to take their place.

  • We prepare for each party based on the participant count that you booked for in advance. We’ll do our best to have a few extra sets of materials on hand, and if we’re able to accommodate any extra participants, we’ll send you a separate invoice for the additional spots after the party. However, these accommodations cannot be guaranteed.

  • To minimize spam calls, I’m happy to provide my phone number when following up after you submit an inquiry, which you can do at any time. Texting is strongly preferred because having a written record of important details helps me respond accurately.

Payments

    • Standard Service Area (typically 0–50 miles one way): No travel fee.

    • Extended Service Area (typically 51–60 miles one way): A $60 travel fee applies.

    • Outside Service Area (typically 61+ miles one way): We currently do not serve locations beyond this range. If a booking is made outside this range, it will be canceled and fully refunded.

    You can use our service area checker to quickly confirm whether your location is serviced or has a travel fee. If you’re still unsure, feel free to contact us.

  • Please look on your invoice for your payment due date(s).

    We give you two options when booking:

    • Pay in full

    • Pay a 50% deposit, with the remaining 50% balance automatically charged to your initial payment method 10 days before the event.

  • We use a platform called HoneyBook to accept online payments through debit card or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) or bank ACH.

  • All parties are booked and paid for by the host. Hosts are welcome to collect payments from guests independently and privately if they choose (for example, using Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, etc.). Spark Haven Studio does not manage or process any payments between the host and guests.

Policies

  • A waiver is required for each participant and is standard for all Spark Haven Studio art parties, as guests will be working with a variety of materials and tools. Even with simple materials like paint or glue, it helps cover general safety and allows us to operate responsibly. Waivers must be completed prior to participating.

    Complete your waiver online ahead of your party so you’re all set and ready to go! For participants under 18 years old, the parent/legal guardian must fill it out on their behalf. If you are unable to fill it out online, paper copies will be available at start of the event.

  • Yes. Because we are not a childcare service, at least one supervising adult (18+ and not including Spark Haven Studio) must be present in the general party area for the entire session if there are any participants under 18 years old. This can include the party host/organizer.

    For safety reasons, Spark Haven Studio is unable to proceed with the event if a supervising adult is not present.

  • We understand that some guests may run late. Spark Haven Studio will still start the art party at the scheduled time, but we will do our best to get those who arrive late caught up to speed and provide extra support and guidance as needed.

    While we don’t offer refunds for individual guests who are no longer able to attend, the host may invite another guest who completes a waiver to take their spot.

  • If weather, operator illness, unsafe conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the event from taking place as scheduled, we'll contact the host promptly to discuss available options. If the event must be canceled, the host may choose between rescheduling, receiving credit toward a future booking, or receiving a full refund.

  • Parties may be canceled by the host for a full refund up to 10 days before the event. Each booking includes one complimentary reschedule; additional reschedules may be subject to a rescheduling fee.
