Party Details

  • Spark Haven Studio parties are designed for guests who enjoy a relaxed, guided creative experience where the focus is on slowing down, connecting with the process, and enjoying a calm, intentional atmosphere. We keep things thoughtfully structured so the experience feels like a meaningful pause from everyday life.

  • Spark Haven Studio serves most of the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We will travel up to 50 miles (one-way) to your location!

    Locations slightly outside this range (up to ~60 miles) will have an additional travel fee.

    Use our Service Area Map as a visual guide (note: actual driving distance may vary from the map), or contact us before booking to confirm we’re able to come to you.

  • Our service runs about 3.5 hours total from start to finish. This includes a 30 minute setup, 1.5-2.5 hour art party (pace varies by group), and 30 minute cleanup.

    This does not include time for birthday cake, presents, etc., so please plan accordingly for those before or afterwards.

  • Minimum: 8 participants.

    Maximum: 25 participants.

    Groups smaller than 8: We will gladly hold a party for smaller groups, but host-paid parties will still be charged the rate for 8 participants. For guest-paid parties, you’ll need t find a way to cover any remaining spots to meet the minimum of 8 paid spots.

    Groups larger than 25: We’d love to work with you! Because we may need additional prep time, please fill out our large group inquiry form to see how we can best accommodate you.

  • This depends on the type of party, which varies due to materials and tools used as well as difficulty. Please refer to the Party Options page or the booking form for details on each art party’s minimum age requirement.

  • Participants should wear clothes they do not mind getting dirty. We also provide aprons for guests to wear if they choose.

Host Preparation

  • All art parties include:

    • 30 minute setup, 2 hour art party, and 30 minute cleanup (3 hours total)

    • All art materials, group instruction, and individual support as needed

    • Aprons and table coverings to borrow.

  • As the host, you’ll need to provide:

    • The venue, home, office, or space for the event

    • Tables and chairs

    • Groups with participants under 18 years old must have at least one supervising adult present for the entire art party.

    • Food and drinks (optional)

  • If you choose to provide food and drinks, then yes! While we won’t specifically pause the art party for guests to get refreshments, they can do so at their leisure.

    We recommend having food that’s low-mess so guests avoid accidentally getting their art dirty. Please save any extended breaks (e.g. lunch, birthday cake) for before or after the art party.

Booking

  • Host-Paid Parties: At least 2 weeks before the event.

    Guest-Paid Parties: At least 3 weeks before the event, to allow guests time to register.

    If your party is at a venue, allow extra time for venue booking.

  • We’ve made it easy for you to check real-time availability whenever you’d like. You can view available dates on our booking page—just pick guest-paid party or host-paid party to get started.

  • We are unable to hold dates, as all bookings are secured on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend booking as soon as possible to ensure you get the date and time you want.

  • Host-Paid Parties: If you’re unsure of your final guest count, book for the minimum number of guests you can guarantee in order to reserve your event date. Additional participant spots may be added and paid for later (up to 10 days before the party) by contacting us. Due to advance preparation, guest counts cannot be reduced for a refund.

    Guest-Paid Parties: When filling out the booking form, give your best estimate. However, we’ll prepare for the number that actually register by the deadline (10 days before the party). While individual registrations are final sale and nonrefundable, guests may transfer their spot to another eligible attendee who completes a waiver.

Payments

  • Service area coverage is based on driving distance (one-way) from our east Dallas, TX service origin point.

    • Standard Service Area (0–50 miles): No travel fee.

    • Extended Service Area (51-60 miles): A travel fee applies, typically ranging from $50–$75 depending on location. For host-paid parties, this is a flat fee invoiced after booking review. For guest-paid parties, the travel fee is incorporated into guest registration pricing. Bookings are confirmed once the applicable travel fee has been accounted for based on booking type.

    • Outside Service Area (61+ miles): Not serviced and will be canceled with a full refund.

    Please note: our service area map is an approximate visual guide only. Actual driving distance may vary from the map. If you’re unsure whether a travel fee will apply to your location, feel free to contact us before booking and we’ll be happy to assist you.

  • We offer two different payment options to work with your party’s needs.

    Host-Paid Party: The host pays the full cost. Guests do not register or pay individually.

    Guest-Paid Party: The host books and receives a custom registration link to share with guests, who register and pay individually. To secure the event, a minimum of 8 paid spots must be met by the deadline (10 days before the party). We recommend confirming with guests that they’re comfortable with paying for their own spots before booking.

  • Payment plans are not available for parties of 25 guests or less.

    • Host-Paid Parties: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your party date.

    • Guest-Paid Parties: A minimum of 8 paid spots must be secured by the deadline (10 days before the event).

    For large groups of 26+ guests, we offer the option of paying a nonrefundable retainer upon booking and the remaining balance 10 days before the event.

  • Guest registration closes after the deadline stated on your registration link (10 days before the party).

    Due to supply preparation, we are unable to extend the registration period or add guests after the deadline.

  • If the minimum of 8 paid spots is not met by the registration deadline, the host will be notified by email and given 48 hours to either:
    • Pay for the remaining spots themselves, or
    • Find other guests to register.

    If the minimum is still not met after this period, the event will be canceled and all registered guests will receive a full refund.

  • Your host should have sent you a registration link. Choose how many participant spots you are paying for under “Quantity.” During the registration process, you’ll also complete the required waiver (can also be done at sparkhavenstudio.com/waiver).

  • We use a platform called Honeybook to accept online payments through debit card or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover).

  • Refunds for payments vary between host-paid and guest-paid parties.

    Host-Paid: If the host cancels 10+ days before the event, the host may be eligible for a refund (minus any transaction/processing fees), reschedule, or credit depending on the situation. Participant spots cannot be refunded individually.

    Guest-Paid: Individual registrations are final sale and nonrefundable. However, guests may transfer their spot to another eligible attendee who completes a waiver. If the host cancels, guests will receive a full refund.

Policies

  • A waiver is required for each participant and is standard for all Spark Haven Studio art parties, as guests will be working with a variety of materials and tools. Even with simple materials like paint or glue, it helps cover general safety and allows us to operate responsibly. Waivers must be completed prior to participating.

    Complete your waiver online ahead of your party so you’re all set and ready to go! For participants under 18 years old, the parent/legal guardian must fill it out on their behalf.

  • At least one supervising adult (not including Spark Haven Studio) must be present for the entire art party if there are any participants under 18 years old. This can include the party host/organizer. For safety and liability reasons, Spark Haven Studio will not operate the event without a supervising adult.

  • We understand that some guests may run late. Spark Haven Studio will still start the art party at the scheduled time, but we will do our best to get those who arrive late caught up to speed and provide extra support and guidance as needed.

    For guests who are no longer able to make it, they or the host may transfer their spot to another eligible attendee who completes a waiver.

  • With everyone’s safety as our top priority, Spark Haven Studio may regretfully decide to cancel an event due to bad weather, operator illness, or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, we will contact the host as soon as possible.

    For Host-Paid Parties: The host may choose between receiving a full refund, rescheduling, or receiving credit for use towards another event.

    For Guest-Paid Parties: All registered guests will receive a full refund. The host may reschedule one time at no extra cost.
